A short history;
Joseph, the first Polglase to arrive in NZ, was born in Truro, Cornwall in 1815. He married
Johanna Jenkins and migrated to Aust in 1846 and thence to NZ, arriving in Nelson on Xmas Day 1854 from Melbourne on the SV 'Rollo'. His first son, Joseph (jnr), married Caroline. I am a descendant of Joseph (jnr) and a 5th generation New Zealander.

Melrose Nov 1949. Apparently I craved ice cream (een) from a young age. Still do. Esp Tip Top orange choc chip ice. Helped that Dad was the Company Secretary at Tip Top.
