A short history;
Joseph, the first Polglase to arrive in NZ, was born in Truro, Cornwall in 1815. He married
Johanna Jenkins and migrated to Aust in 1846 and thence to NZ, arriving in Nelson on Xmas Day 1854 from Melbourne on the SV 'Rollo'. His first son, Joseph (jnr), married Caroline. I am a descendant of Joseph (jnr) and a 5th generation New Zealander.

Gail Harvey

Gail, my first 'proper' girlfriend and Murray 'dated' Gail's sister. Two sweet little girls who turned in to screaming nutters when we took them to a P J Proby concert. I recall a guy sitting behind us (at the Wellington Opera House), offered us money to shut them up. We couldn't.

Murray

And Jenny Whitlaw, and her brother. Wendy and I had moved out of Holyoak and got a flat together up the road in Cremorne. Murray arrived and stayed on his way back to NZ from England. Our flat was subsequently raided by Jennys husband accompanied by armed bailiffs looking to cite Murray in their divorce. Murray took off for NZ the next day.
